Hello, I'm back. Today I have yet another painting to share. I've been on a role making paintings lately, working on three new one's at once. Hard work, but lots of fun! The painting I wanted to share with you today is from a story I wrote several years back. It's a fantasy adventure story, taking place in a medieval European type of setting, but from a different world. The painting shows a boy, maybe in his early teens 13 or 14 years, battling giant evil spiders sent to destroy the kingdom he is from. It's a darker piece than I usually make, but my stories tend to be written that way. I gave the painting somewhat of a faded look on purpose. The green grass, castle and shirt the boy has on are all different shades of each of the colors I used for each area. Also, none of the spiders are exactly the same as far as coloring goes. I wanted to give them some variety. And finally, there are some objects I did not outline. Mainly, the rocks on the ground, but I also didn't outline the castle or background trees or the burning cottage. Everything else is outlined.
Again, I used acrylic paint on an 11 x 14 canvas. Here is the painting.
